I want to thank Steve Pyne for the program that we had at the October meeting which was a slide show of their train trip to the Gilmore Museum and the Henry Ford and Greenfield Village Museums . Steve made this a very interesting program with his comments regarding the trip! The November meeting will be our annual Auction Night. We are sorry that Pat Dias cannot attend and run the evening’s auction, but we will have some other members presenting this auction. Please look through what you have at home that you feel members would like to bid on, and bring those items to the auction. This is one of MARCOM’s few money making events.
Members, please let us know if you would like to present a program or have ideas for a program at a future meeting. We will need programs for next year.
I also would like to thank Sue Jackson again for the wonderful raffle items. They certainly make the raffle contribute funds to our treasury! Thank you to Dolores and Chuck Marchewka for running the tour to the Cranberry Festival in Wareham.
The Tour Committee, chaired by Mike Kelly, has one more tour set for the tour season. Lou Zadra and I will be running the Frostbite Tour to Wright’s Chicken Farm Restaurant in Harrisville, RI on November 4th. Please see elsewhere in the Newsletter for information regarding this tour, as payment of $20.00 per person must be in to me by October 20th.
