2019 – November Presidents’ Message

Our program for November was our annual auction. A big thank you to Pat Dias and Steve Pyne for handling the auction tabulations and checking out the buyers. This is held to benefit the club’s treasury, and it is also a good time for members! Nancy and Dennis Delano had donated three raccoon coats, which netted our club $175.00. I would also like to thank Jane and Bruce Ketchen, Walter Anness, Mike Vartanian and Chuck Marchewka for helping me with the auction.

Next month we will have our Christmas Party and election of Officers. If you have not yet voted for the Officers and Board, kindly send in the completed ballots to our treasurer, Sue Menard. She must receive the ballots three days prior to our December meeting. Ballots can be found in the November newsletter.

Our Annual Christmas Party is at the December meeting. This is a pot luck dinner. Members are encourage to bring something for the meal. Please contact Dolores Marchewka to advise her as to what you are bringing. (Please see flyer elsewhere in the newsletter.)

On November 3rd, we had a wonderful turnout for the frostbite run to Wright’s Chicken Farm Restaurant, with 39 attending. This is a great a venue where you can meet many car hobbyists and see antique vehicles from most of New England that normally are not at local shows.

Please remember that November 23rd will be the Plymouth Parade. Although this is a paid event for the Old Colony Model T Club, MARCOM has been asked for cars by the OCMTC, and MARCOM will be paid $20.00 for each car. Those attending please see Paul Lucchetti at the line up for the parade and tell him that you are from MARCOM, so we can get paid!

For further details regarding tours or parades, please see the information on the website, newsletter or contact the Tour Chairperson, Mike Kelly.
